The Chamber of Secrets has much detail and to get the full picture you must read the book very precisely. I will be showing you that detail and that picture today.
There are many characters and I can only list a few of the main ones so here they are.
Harry is a boy who discovered he was a wizard on his eleventh birthday. His parents where killed by lord Voldemort and lives with his aunt and uncle. He is very good at defence against the dark arts.
Ron is the youngest boy and his family is very poor, all of his items are second hand and has 5 very amazing brothers. He must be better at the brothers or he will be the failure of the family.
Hermione is a very nerdy/brainy witch who likes to read and learn everything she can. She creates The Poly-Juice Potion for Harry and Ron.
Here is a summary of the plot, you can use it for an assignment or can read it for enjoyment:
Harry wakes up to find that the Masons were coming for a proposal to buy supplies of drills. Harry is shut in his room and a house-elf comes to tell Harry: “There is a plot, Harry Potter. A plot to make most terrible things happen at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year.” Harry is told not to go to Hogwarts but refuses to stay. Dobby then levitates cake on to the floor and the deal was off. They locked Harry in his room for three days until Ron and his brothers got in a flying car and broke him out.
He stays at the Weasleys and goes to platform 9 and three-quarters, but the barrier was blocked for Harry and Ron. With no choice, they flew to Hogwarts and crashed into the whomping willow, a very old tree. Ron’s wand breaks and they head to the feast to be caught by snape. The boys manage to get out of punishment and start the term. Later that term Harry hears a voice saying to kill, finding a cat petrified.
Above the cat there is a message saying THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED, ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE. Dumbledore then asks sprout to create a mixture that unpetrified people and animals. Many others are also petrified and Harry tries to find out what happened. Harry goes to Lockhart’s duelling club and finds that he is a parselmouth, he can talk to snakes. Everyone thinks that Harry is the heir of Slytherin and finds out what is attacking everyone, a Basilisk. Harry finds a diary of Tom Riddle that writes back to harry and shows him memories.
Harry also finds the chamber and goes in. Harry finds that Tom Riddle is the heir and he is Lord Voldemort. Voldemort sends the basilisk to attack Harry but Fawkes (Dumbledores Phoenix) swoopes in and gives Harry a hat that Harry pulls out a sword from. Harry defeats Voldemort and the basilisk and returns home.
Have ever had a rule saying something you think is unnecessary or wrong? Sometimes if you think you should disagree or break that rule, only do that if it is for the greater good such as to help someone in need. This book is touching on that and is what i would call a theme about the book.
